What does the term “needs,” mean to the average person today, and how does it differ from one person to another?

The word needs describe the necessities, which a human would require in being fully functioning person. When we take a look at the word “needs” from an average person’s perspective, it may have various meanings such as social needs, communication needs and personal needs.
First of all, when we explore the social perspective, it mainly concentrates on acceptance, community and freedom. Acceptance refers to being accepted by others. Example: Participating with situations that are open and accepting of everyone, being accepted by neighbors, Being into a club or group, Feeling loved. A person with a need for acceptance needs to feel they are accepted. Community means having people around. Example: Throwing parties for the slightest reasons, Going to shopping malls or concerts in the intention just to be around with a large group of people. Freedom can be described as being independent: In other words the need to have and choices and to feel in control of making those choices. Example: Feeling free to move around without restrictions, Feeling free to make decisions at work, Making choices about relationships. These are some of the main ways which average people define needs socially.
Secondly, when take a look at it from the communication point of view, it comprises of expression, exchange and interpretation of what people think from what you say. Expression can be defined as the need to be artistic, to be seen, to be heard, to be felt. Example: social avenues via the Internet (social networks), writing books, dancing. When we talk about exchange, it can be basically termed as the need to trade information and knowledge with others in other words, to deliver and receive something that has a value. Example: Participating with others in discussions. Participating in-group works, working with contracts and agreements. These are the things, which average people consider as needs in the form of communication.
Lastly, when we take a look at the personal juncture, the main two focuses are Adventure and power. Adventure can be described as the need for an adrenaline rush, to have new experiences, to have a sense of anticipation about upcoming events. Example: Planning new trips, moving frequently, Being the first to do something, creating new markets. Power is the need to be in a position of authority and responsibility. Example: Managing a company, organizing events, Being a leader and recognized as a leader. Some people consider power as a need as they have a desire towards being “the great one”. These are what people describe as needs from their personal point of view.
In conclusion, I would say that there are different ways in which an average person would define the term needs. However there are an outrageous number of people who consider money as their need as they believe it can fulfill everything. Even though some say that, I strongly support the idea that of it being not money but ways of living a happy life and achieving success.

How can success be defined?

People define success in several ways as they have different points of view. When we hear people talking about success, there are several things, which come to our minds. It might be about how a celebrity got successful, how a business has accomplished its goals in becoming successful, how a country has developed by being successful, how a medicine has been successful in curing people and the list goes on. Therefore, success can be defined through the perspectives: fame, wealth, relationships and inventions.

Firstly, when we take a closer look at how success is defined through fame, McDonald can be considered a valid example to find proof in. It started as a business in 1940, with a restaurant opened by brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald in San Bernardino, California. But now McDonalds can be found in 119 countries and territories around the world and serve 58 million customers each day (Reference Wikipedia). This is one way people consider being successful as it falls into the category “being successful through fame”

Secondly, when we talk about wealth, we could take a look at one of the world’s richest person, Bill Gates. He was just a normal person among us although he was a college drop out. But due to his interest and capability in taking challenges, he is a billionaire today and is the Chairman of Microsoft. He also owns shares in several other companies. Some people might say that it is every man’s dream as this is how some people define being successful; they judge wealthy people as successful ones in the world.

Thirdly, when we take successful in relations into consideration, Dale Carnegie is one of the best examples. He was a famous American writer, lecturer and the developer of famous courses in self-improvement, salesmanship, corporate training, public speaking, and interpersonal skills. He was the author for the book “how to win friends and influence people”. That book is a clear proof, which shows that he was a very successful person in public relations. He has helped a vast number of people in sorting out the problems, which confronted them in the day-to-day life. People consider him as one of the most successful people in public relations. (Reference Wikipedia)

Lastly, Inventions is something, which most people consider is related with being successful. Alexander Graham Bell is a highlight able example of being successful in inventions as he was the inventor of telephone. People consider him as one of the world’s greatest inventors of all time as telephone is one of the most important gadgets in our modern world, and believe that without his fantastic discovery, the communication process wouldn’t have become easier. Thus people consider inventing stuff as being successful.

In conclusion, I would say that success maybe a small word but it consists of a vast number of ways how people could define it. Fame, Wealth, relations and inventions are how few people define success. The question remains somewhat unanswered as different people define it in different ways.

Tourism

In this contaminated world, where men are racing against time, working like bees, it is highly important to take sometime time off as humans are not the same as multi functioning machines. Therefore the need for rest and relaxation is being highly demanded and thus creating tourism. The word “tourism” can be defined as a temporary movement of a person or a group of people to a place other than their usual home environment, for more than 24 hours and less than once every consecutive year, with purposes such as leisure, visiting friends and relatives, business etc.
Most of the countries take tourism as a highly positive impact as it brings several benefits to the country and its people. One of the main reason is that tourism brings a myriad of development to the country and its people. The infrastructure gets upgraded, services such as health gets more high qualitative, development of hotels create variety of job opportunities and it creates a market for the local businesses such as souvenir shops and restaurants etc.
One the other hand, some of the countries take tourism as a negative impact as it might create havoc for the country.  The countries that inevitably say that tourism is bad, pinpoint some reasons like, the culture drain, overcrowd, spread of diseases and religious influences etc.
As we take a look at tourism from a different perspective, it helps the people to experience different cultures and traditions. It also opens the doors for the people to explore the world and its history in an effective manner.

In my opinion getting involved in tourism is the world’s best way to have a healthy life.

Attitude towards writing

Since, the first day i started to write, I was determined to find out that writing was really a good skill and an exercise not only for my hand but also to my brain. When I was a kid, writing stories based on adventures or fantasies, was one of my hobbies during my leisure time . As i started to age, i realized that my enthusiasm to write things based on fantasies and adventure was narrowing down.I tussled with ideas.I knew I would not be able to write with apathy. So i wondered why not i use my ability in a more useful way; that is to express my feelings through writing. I started to write songs in my native and English language. In my opinion "writing" is how i express my exasperation, depression, stress or even times when i am in blues and feelings of being nostalgic. Thus, when I write i tend to convey my message better than verbally...
